About photo metadata
- What gets removed?
- GPS coordinates, camera/phone make, model and serial number, capture time, author and copyright, software version, plus embedded thumbnails and XMP/IPTC text.
- Will it lose quality?
- No. JPEG, PNG and WebP are cleaned surgically — only metadata segments are removed and the compressed pixels are preserved byte-for-byte. HEIC / TIFF are re-encoded via canvas and clearly labeled.
