About video metadata

What gets removed?: Phone-recorded videos often embed GPS location (QuickTime ©xyz / Apple location), recording timestamps, and the device make, model and OS version. All of it is cleared.
Is the video re-compressed?: No. We neutralize the metadata atoms (udta / meta) in place and zero the timestamps; the media data (mdat) is preserved byte-for-byte — never re-encoded.
Which formats are supported?: Currently MP4, MOV and M4V (ISO base media format). More containers are coming.
